Accessibility statement

This website is designed to be accessible to people using different ways of browsing and accessing content, including keyboard navigation, screen readers, magnification and high-contrast settings.

What this covers

This statement applies to visiomultimedia.com, including all pages available in English and Italian.

Conformance status

The website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. This assessment is based on testing carried out during development. Some WCAG criteria still require further testing, so the site cannot currently be considered fully conformant.

What is currently in place

• A skip-to-content link is available at the beginning of each page, allowing keyboard users to bypass the main navigation.
• All interactive elements can be operated using a keyboard, with a visible focus indicator.
• When projects or articles are reordered, the change is reflected in the underlying page structure and therefore in the order experienced by keyboard and assistive technology users.
• Content images have alternative text, while decorative images are hidden from assistive technologies.
• Form fields have associated labels, and form submission results are announced to screen reader users.
• Links that open a new tab indicate this to the user.
• Animations stop when the system setting for reduced motion is enabled.
• Videos do not autoplay.
• The language of each page is declared in the HTML.
• Pages are delivered as static HTML, so their content remains available when JavaScript is disabled.

Known limitations

The following accessibility issues are currently known or require further testing:

• Colour contrast. Some headings in the dark theme may not meet the minimum contrast ratio required by WCAG 2.1 Success Criterion 1.4.3. A systematic contrast check across both themes is still required.
• Zoom and independent testing. Neither a systematic assessment at 200% zoom nor an accessibility audit by a third party has been completed yet.
• YouTube videos. Captions and transcripts for videos hosted on YouTube depend on the content provided with the original video. Some videos may therefore not meet WCAG 2.1 Success Criterion 1.2.2 (Captions). I can add or improve captions for videos I control, but cannot modify videos published by third parties.
• Archived comments. Older articles contain comments imported from the previous version of the website. These comments are retained as originally published and may not meet the content and readability practices used elsewhere on the site.

How the website was tested

The current assessment is based on self-assessment carried out during development, including manual keyboard testing, checks of heading structure and reading order, and testing with JavaScript disabled. Further testing, including contrast and zoom checks, is planned as part of a full audit following the WCAG-EM methodology. This page will be updated with the results.

If you report an accessibility problem and do not receive a response, or if the response does not resolve the issue, you can contact the national authority responsible for accessibility in the country where you are located.
